After contacting Rob to book an appointment for the Blueroom I have been longing for, I went down to the Pack Cave at 11:00am. Rob was very helpful and told me to pick out as many bats as I wanted and take it from there. I picked out this lovely looking New Wave Elite at 2.9-2.10. I told Rob that I didn't mind how big the edges are if the bat is not concaved too much and I managed to find this beauty. The handle was a bit too round for me so Rob very kindly took the binding off and made it more oval and put the string back on. It was originally in white and blue but he changed it into magenta for me.
The bat itself has got 9 or 10 grains running pretty straight with a touch of heartwood on the left handers outside edge. 30mm edges with no concaving if very little. Tapped it up with a ball and it blew me away. Absolute rocket! The finishing as usual is top drawer and the balance is lovely. All in all very, very happy.
Rob also gave me a fantastic deal on gloves and pads. I got the Bombora gloves in pink. The heritage right handed gloves were sold out until march but these gloves are top notch as well. Pittard palm with V splits on them. Overall very comfortable.
I got the Heritage pads as they offered brilliant protection with cane on all the bolsters. The knee is solid with lovely padding on the inside, meshed and padded straps with leather pull tabs. Really good quality.
Also but a few other things like grips, aero P1s, leggings and inners.
