1st of Jan his contract starts with M&H
His bat range was in the burnley outlet this week

Could change?

If his contract starts on 1st January I wonder what kit he'll use for the Boxing Day Test?

Maybe if his contract runs out with gn on Dec 31st as he was not in England team they were happy for him to put pictures up and do advertising for his new sponsor

But as he got in the England team they gave him a call and reminded him that he is under contract for first test?

I'd be surprised if his contract is yearly, most likely the M&H sponsorship will begin at the start of the SA series - as with Root and NB starting at the beginning of the last series.

is it me or does that bat look awful??? the grains are really odd (i know it is the back but...) and that is a huge knot on the right of the bat under the sticker - not a great photo to advertise a new range, esp if some of the rumours on here may be true about the origins of the bats? looks like an MSR classic!!!

Mark Lathwell.

Remember Lathwell using one - what did Neil Mallender use?

Lathwell debuted in the '93 ashes series didn't he? (I was there!) Think that's way before Caddick's era

Shame the deadline isn't during a test match if reports are correct. I'd love to see Compton bat with Gray Nics gear and stay not out overnight, then walk out in the morning with completely different kit.

It would be amusing - he should pick the M&H as it's a bigger edge to nick off to first slip
