good spot second hand, well dug out. And if course it goes without saying he was using the original with THE most brilliant sticker design back then.Clearly it's gone pear shaped now but we look back misty eyed !  :)

agree massively on the stickers - they were and always will be the best - their new ones look like someone injected the original ones with steroids then sent them on an LSD bender!!!

I was at day one of Trent Bridge, and also 3rd day at Headingley. Never remebered Caddick playing, though he obviously went on to have a decent international career. Pretty sure Alan Igglesden and Martin McCague both debuted in that series too. Some very random players showed up in that series, for sure.

Compton is using GN gear in the warm up game. He's also using an old Masuri by the look of it

I somehow don't think NC is the type to be told what lid to wear.

If Goochie can't tell him how to bat then an email from the ECB really aint gonna do anything.

Bout time we had some cricketers who think for themselves  :)

and no....I don't mean Pieterson K.

I didnt think the regulations specified a helmet, the new ones are non adjustable so you cant have a gaping hole to allow a double decker bus through. I just thought helmets were a must. No more floppy hats at the crease!

Also isnt it the same for keepers, am i right thinking Bairstow stands up without a helmet, hmthat will have to change right?

I think the regulations on compulsary helmet use is in England only, so as soon as you're on an overseas tour anything goes.

Regs specify that lids must pass the newest safety standards. Yes in theory Bairstow will have to wear one standing up, will be interesting to see how it plays out when the team is back in the UK, Cook and Compton both currently wear non-compliant lids.
