2016 Kookaburra Bats
« on: December 08, 2015, 05:36:32 PM »

Having travelled over to Kookaburra to pick out some bats from their 2016 range, I'm glad to say they are now all on display and there are some good ones in there.

Personal favourite is the Ghost, which with the white and chrome stickers looks pretty good. From the Ghosts we managed to find one which although designed to be a big and heavy bat, weighs just 2.7.

We'll post some photos tomorrow morning.

Is the kahuna really concaved like previous years or a bit more full?

The bats are the same as last years model in terms of the concaving.

We have some beauties on display at the moment with weights starting at just 2.7.

Or how about a Ghost that weighs only 2.6!

Or some others that weigh 2.10

I'm loving the ghost stickers, what's the profile like on the 2.6 one?

Kookaburra bats don't have weights listed anywhere on them, so to ascertain that it is 2'6, VKS would have to weigh it, meaning yes it is the full 'dressed' weight; stickers grip etc.

I honestly don't see why any brand/shop/batmaker would quote a weight for a bat in any state other than dressed.

Yes they are dressed weights (inc stickers, grip, toe guard). It still boils down to the pick up though, as that's what is most important.

Profile pics of the Ghost. The 2.6 model is the one at the bottom, resting on its side.

We've just received another delivery of the Ghost 500's. Seems to be one of this seasons favourites.
