BDM are producing some cracking bats and proving to be excellent value for money! Interested in how the other bat turns out. I have been thinking of getting one as well but can't make up my mind between BDM, BAS and RNS.

@bostoncricketer => You can't go wrong with BDM or BAS. If you are looking at top end BDM Extreme edition and BAS Vampire Bow 20-20 are excellent bats !

Most bat making brands buy their English willow from J.S. Wright and Sons LTD, I couldn't tell you if BDM do as well

Any Brand that is big, has to buy from JSW. Otherwise survival is not there in terms of numbers. BDM does buy from JSW and probably is there oldest customer.
BDM has been considered to be one of the pioneers to launch big bats, surprised to note there there was a DyNamic T20 bat as thick as 10 mm. Wow.....
Sting is not a Grade 2 bat.... It's lower down the order.
Dynamic Extreme is not the top BDM bat.... One of the upper bats yes...
However, BDM Dynamic Power "The Game " Limited Edition is the top notch bat by BDM.

I had BDM Dynamic T20, I think It was a grade 2 bat but at a very good cost. The one I had was 6 to 7 grains and small spine but had good edge around 30mm and full profile. It turned out to be a very good bat scored well with that bat then gave it to my friend who loves it. I do believe in grades which is mainly for cosmetic purpose. Few big names grade their bats on performance I think but not sure. I do take quiet sometime to prepare my bat before nets(at least 2 to 3 weeks of hand knock and 2 to 3 coating of oil), this procedure in return has given me good durable bats with good to awesome ping.

Hey Vishwas,

I had to cancel the order as OLS informed me that BDM isn't making that profile anymore. I might be looking to get the same from B3 as I have got the 50% voucher from them.

Happy New year.

I have a bdm dynamic power original but too the wood is too soft in my liking. Even after 4 months of knocking it.. New balls are leaving their mark on the bat. A bit disappointed with the bat.

I think they are soft but gets better after good knocking and nets. I think it was your bad luck with that bat.

Yes I guess so planning to buy one more as I love the balance of the bat. Hopefully it will be not that soft

Friend has a BDM aerodynamic bat. He knocked it for 4 hours and used it the nets. Seam marks did happen but he never cared about it. Just applied a fiber glass sheet and continued using it. Smacked 37 of 8 balls last week. Don't worry too much about it, just start using it and after a while you will probably forget that ...

If you dry the willow too much, you can't press it as hard. Also why do that when you lose 1-2mm of edge thickness.? [emoji10]At least their not flat faced.

I've knocked in a extreme dynamic with a LV mallet. Idiot owner even used it prior to knocking and it cracked immediately . Took 6 hours with a LV. BDM are nice profile bats with good pickup, but you have to knock them longer. Play well.

Stickering at the shoulders is too GN for my liking and some of the bats look like a school bus of kids found the branding irons.[emoji12]

Stickers on BDM bats except for Aerodynamic bat are pretty outdated. Another let down is the amount of stickers they use on the back side of the bat. Less stickers would atleast give the bats a classy look.

B3 has the SRT profile stored. You can ask them to get that done. Even I am planning for that, but right now torn between Trott and SRT profile.
