AS VX 100 Review
« on: December 10, 2015, 04:06:49 PM »

Just a quick review of this new bat which I got on Tuesday. It was made for Aamer Yamin and came off his hands (rght before his Zimbabwe series), he is currently playing against England Lions in UAE. A newbie, his Cricinfo profile: http://www.espncricinfo.com/canada/content/player/434429.html

It weighs around 2.8/2.9 and has a profile which is unwonted profile on Pakistani bats. Very well balanced and has long middle and edges in region of 43-45mm. What was different was the handle, notice the centre strip is thicker. I presume this type of handle will create more "flex/jerk" which would not be surprising because I have noticed this is quite a few Pakistani player's bat (such as Ahmad Shahzad's HS which I have).

Massive bat! Never seen a handle like that though... Must be a specific request

My thoughts are the double thickness in the  centre of handle should reduce the shock.

Agree with you there. It may increase the flexibility as well.

That's a good looking bat. I just ordered a players edition VX-100 from Sialkot.
I think AS bat offers a great value for the money.. Currently using a V3 .

I cant see that handle lasting long personally. Doesn't matter if you get them given to you, but paying $80-100 a rehandle id steer clear.

Looks a lovely stick. Is there any reason that Pakistan made bats have not been as popular (at least here in the UK) compared to Indian made bats?

I think it's availability and also consistency. I've had a few that broke fairly early in their life and many of my grinds have too.
