My bats for this season
« on: December 13, 2015, 03:27:50 PM »

Thought as i was bored but up the profile for my bats this season

First up Typhon its 2-14 and has 54mm edge and is big all over made from the zizi but super sized

Next up my old trusty zizi  may be slightly under 2-8 now after a year used great bat and follows my theory on need of a big spine good all round bat and great (No Swearing Please) up 41mm edge.

These are my bats but as i will be playing less look out for a sale thread soon enough as i'm not a collecting type and only really need a couple of bats...

Next up the new potential match bat a modded PEPSI 2-13 man this packs a punch 46mm edge and big used in the nets it also picks up extremely well the people who saw it where amazed at the weight!!!

Next up the Godleman bat nobody wanted on sale here so i used yesterday in the nets with a few others plays very well 2-9 and a half 40mm edge good bat

Next up trial Bat i have just started using Streaky messing around with handles and glues plays very well very concaved 2-8 edge around 35mm i think pick up very well made from lower grade but plays well

Next up a very special bat from another source very nice was 2-9 and a half was a ssh but thanks to streaky it is modded a very nice bat 40mm edge

Next up my Modded Mull was my match bat for the last part of last season went like a screamer proper good bat great balance and pick up 2-12  42mm edge this bat converted me to heavier bats

Next up my best looking bat 2-8 40mm edge tonto i used the other tonto i had last year used this twice one fifty great bat but will be going up for sale because i have my light option in the zizi

I stick to one i net lots and try different things out dead weight is only one part of the process and i trial lots of stuff out but tend to stick to one or two bats to play in the season...

Netting lets me know what works and what doesn't in extreme situations also trial and error. I tend to always stick to what i know though but love trying out bats

Having seen most of these bats can honestly say I'd not know where to begin as Dave's got a lovely collection! The modified Pepsi with the square toe is my favourite and I'd never of guessed the weight was 2.13.

Is the Typhon looking like being the starting match bat Dave? Or is it a long winter till April?!

Hey Dave - luuuuuuuuuuurve the white stickers - can you purchase these seperately, I'd like to put a set on my B3 bat?

Also - have you retired the Sulphur?

Not at all I trial some bats I use others I guess I have used lots and have a good feel for somethings.

I'm not collector mate I do play lots and net a he'll of a lot and try new stuff out..

The trial bat has a new handle resin like the two competition winners there using a different glue.
