Huge bats at impossibly light weights.
Smaller edges bigger spines
Better quality and more visually appealing stickers (less brash)
Fewer M&H bats
Longer handles shorter blades

G1 are not rairer the fact more and more brands pop up who don't have access to the clefts as you have to buy limits Ie even number across the grades the smaller maker struggle to get grade 1
I am sure there are entrepreneurs  who are buying clefts  in numbers  and then  selling to smaller brands. Aren't  a lot of smaller brands made in same..ish factories  anyways

Dave will correct me I'm sure but if a major maker who suppliers smaller brands buys up bulk clefts they get to pick the best ones but also demand smaller ones buy x amount of each grade and so I'd imagine, on avg.. the main maker gets to keep the best and more top end clefts than the smaller ones get. that is based on nothing but what I expect business to act like now.

No the smaller brands get the top stuff as we use in our top stuff but they can not just stipulate grade 1 and must be bought through the grades but everybody gets a equal crack at our best stuff.

But yes your not far wrong in your thoughts however not ever maker wants grade 1 which can be a godsend.

As for trends I'm looking forward to George anti toe breaker protection

Having had a long think, my guess is going to be:

Supernova Duffles
Fibreglass scuff sheets
Longer handle shorter blade bats (H4L Warbird I'm looking at you)
The David Warner/Adam Voges profile
Neck protectors/stem guards
Stretton fox boxes and toe protectors

I think the 2017 pink new balance range is going to take the forum by storm...
