Nick Im going to hazzard a guess at the fact its because you are now seen to have gone from wanting feedback on some stickers to gloves and this will likely progress to offering them for sale to the public inc CBF members.

Sponsors have to pay for the right to advertise and sell products via the forum and as such you are deemed to be stepping into this territory without being a verified sponsor.

Its not a question of just paying your money you are required to meet a certain criteria in order to become a sponsor.

There is probably also a waiting list!
