I can't believe some people. Negative comments!!!!! I'm just going to order a bat based on shape. My current bats go from 2lb6oz to 2lb14oz so I'm not worried about the weight.

People discount the series shape at there peril rememeber who designed them Streaky himself.

If your after light and I mean under 2-9 the db1 is a cracker or number 14 with a few tweaks is a great place to start.

I swung a db1 around at Somerset county ground on Saturday and that did indeed feel good.

Plenty off series bats at our club. There a good bat.


Not sure how anyone can be negative at 50% of voucher, but then some people are asses for the sake of it.

Ah that's a shame. Now I'm stuck between Gaz Cross, no16 and no19  - and you know how I like a duckbill @procricket B3!

Anyone had any of those three shapes?

Looking at the Series range a DB3 might actually be cool, certainly for the price point...

Are you sure Medium-sized Al?  There's a bit of concaving there - what about shape no 19?

I have had a few negative comments but most positive there simply no catch yes your not going to get super duper low density it all average density stuff on offer plus and minus 10 as we say to people we have a good stock of fresh willow in.

As a volunteer for b3 I do what I can but I'm ultimately a bat nerd like some of you guys with great enthusiasm and a great insight through there work and mine

I got the voucher like everybody else and got me a beautiful 1 stripe db1 if anybody wants to see it in 2-10 plays very well already netted with it

I hear you Dave! I get heaps of questions on B3 in Australia on my bat maintenance page and I don't even volunteer, I'm just in the nerd herd like you and really like my B3 kit LOL.

Lucky I totally missed out on the voucher offer completely as that day was hectic, because my wife would have jammed the Xmas tree up you don't want to know!

I haven't even used my August bespoke purchase properly in  a game as I have been too happy with my B3 Butterfly former Tonto. New bat pressing is so good.

Agree totally Dave, I think the new DB1 shape is perfect for someone who wants to play of the front and back and work the ball to all parts of the ground into gaps without too much risk. Too good for a stand and deliver batsman who is just going long.

I had the DB2 in 2.9 and was unfalr to compare it with the Flare as it is way bigger. New DB1 is my new favourite series shape and with a higher middle is fine for Aussie pitches too.

I've used a new DB1 shape in indoors this winter, lovely bat! Middle might be a bit high for me when it comes to outdoors, but it's a great shape and surprisingly big for the weight.
