Lovely stuff, I was hoping for anything around 2'10. Looking forward to ordering mine in the new year.

Email sent asking for some advice, but I think it's between the DB3, #14 or #19

As someone who is 5'6 and struggles with bats above 2lb8, realistically what are the choices with the custom bats that will weigh/pick up similar to that sort of weight? Assuming gaz cross, #14 and #19 are my only real choices.

@dcullen8 as you're (and this isn't meant to sound as It probzbly does) a shorter player, would a small mens bat be a better option.

@uknsaunders has a full width shorter blade (and maybe shorter handle, I just know It felt small to me) that was a lovely full shape in a low weight.
It could be worth getting something similar mate.

Im 5'7 - worth thinking about a harrow length/ full width bat with either a sh or SSH. It's should save an oz or so in weight/feel a little less long in the hands. I modified Dave's Typhoon profile to create a 2'11 with 45mm edges/60mm spine/high middle/offset edges with this kind of setup.

I think if you want to get below 2lb7 the adult light bats are the way to go, 2lb4-2lb6 on the website, or gonwith the above suggestions. Someone with a better grasp will be along to advise though id suspect.

Id suggest one of the DB series shapes (DB1) - if you take a look at the thread they come at a range of weights as a stock shape and are very well balanced

A standard DB1 comes out at 2lb8, shouldn't take much fiddling to get one of those you'd like?

I would suggest the DB1 too which is a great shape wouldn't take much at all to tweak to 2-7.

The adult light is available in the weight you want mate.

Hi Dave. How do #14 and DB1 compare in terms of pickup for the same weight?
