Number 14 is becoming a more popular decision it seems. Certainly whets my appetite as I'm starting to use my brain and realise that I've never batted with anything over 2'11 so why am I even considering the TKC and Mullinator!
This is why I'm going down next Saturday to try all the shapes and find a one that suites me, I've thought about blind buying but I'm scared of getting something too heavy
How dare you not wait for my bat to be ready for a Cumbrian road trip haha! Just kidding, have fun pal and you know you're welcome to hop onboard when I go down if you change your mind
Went along to B3 this morning. I'd had a few emails with David before hand the intention was to pick up a one stripe DB1 shape.I ended up trying numerous bats in the showroom, but kept going back to a custom 'no14' bat. Its a slightly lower middle than i was intending, but the pick up and response all over was too good to resist. Its a 2 stripe, and the final weight with 1 & 1/2 grips is 2.10lbs. Overall very happy with the service and quality offered.
There aren't many people who use heavy bats on here, it'll be interesting to see how many end up for resale after people go for the big profiles thinking they can manage the weight
I'm going to collect mine 3rd week in Jan by the looks of things, never wished time away so much haha
