Not quite ready for the get go but closer than most.

We dropped a bat off at Trent bridge for a England player he used same day and he loved it but I always recommend working on a bat before using.

Yeah I like to get to know my bats by giving them a bit of a knock in

Following on from the knocking in thread I was going at the toe/face for a good 40 minutes each and couldn't get any indentations in it whatsoever. Threw a Duke at it pretty hard as well and no seam marks or anything either, so I can only assume it's as good as set. Waxed and scuffed ahead of nets on Thursday.

@tejasapatel    -  ooooh Teji-poos! That looks interesting, what weight are you hoping to get that to, and are the shoulders slopey like a Newbery TT?

This is based of Redback Paradox with TT style shoulders to shift some wood to extend middle a bit. This would come out at 2-8.

First knock with the bat tonight, began to open up nicely particularly off the back foot. Wasn't too much bowled full actually but the few that were went quite nicely

Hit w couple of nice ramps with it which was pleasing, did ramp one into myself which was a bit painful but meh

Still amazed by the pic up on this, it's ludicrously good

Here's a sneak peek of what I received today. Simply amazed at the profile and it picks up well. Will put up proper review alongside Pepsi bat later. Thanks a lot Streaky @The Doctor & Dave @procricket B3

Here's my 50% off B3. It's a new DB1 LB. It's meant to be 2lb 9.5oz finished. It feels a bit lighter than that, because it is - 2lb 8.5oz according to my scales. Pretty happy with that!

It's my first LB and it's an idea I've been flirting with for a while but never pulled bought an LB. So when this opportunity came up I thought it was time to try. It's a grainilicious 1-stripe (~13-14) with a couple of stains/hard bars. I like it - plenty of grains and character - for a 1-stripe.

The finishing is superb - it's right up there with the best I've had including L&W and Salix. But that was offset by some minor dents the bat suffered on its way down under. There is a prominent dent on the peak of the spine and one on the toe. This is disappointing considering I had asked for it to be packaged with extra bubble wrap. Unfortunately the bat was placed in a plastic bag then wrapped with a layer of single sided corrugated card before being placed inside the bat box - with no bubblewrap! I would have been pretty unhappy if I had spent more money on it.

Haven't tested the ping yet. Don't want to disturb the neighbours tonight. Judging from everyone's experience, I'll probably just knock the toe and edges before netting with it.

Shame about the dent in the spine, looks a cracker barring that!

I think I'd cry if I opened a brand new bat to find a dent in the spine like that  :(

Other than that lovely looking bat, if I wanted to stir shit up I may even say it looks better than some of the 3 stripes posted  ;)
