Curious thing though ... has anyone been able to get on the field of any cricket ground ? I visited Australia back in 2009 and was denied entry to the outfield of MCG .. its not like any match was going on or something.

I went to the 200th anniversary last year and i had afternoon tea on the pitch, they let us walk though the gate as well.

They were not strict as they made out on pictures and i got a picture on the home team balcony.

I went last year and we were not allowed to take photos anywhere, managed to sneak one off the home team dressing room though! Great experience and loved every minute of it.

Me and my mates used to run on the pitch all the time when Glos used to win the one dayers 😀

We wandered around the outfield and in and out of the old pavilion at Sabina Park completely unaccompanied in 2010.

For those that can't make it, their web presence is pretty good with many of the artefacts scanned/photographed.

Example:

Andrew Flintoff's bat

I remember having one of these about 10/12 years ago as an impressionable teenager, absolute weapon it was!

We have our awards evening there every year, I consider myself very fortunate. Also have a meeting there in Jan in the offices which I'm also looking forward to! It's a fantastic place...

Any idea how much it costs to hold you awards night there?

To hold a game on the nursery pitch its £5k according to the guide. Only £250 a person if you can find 22 players willing to stump it up.

Good question. I can find out though I believe we get charity rates and the tours for guests at discounted rates...

I absolutely love lords. The tour is a great thing to do if you are ever in London.

£250 per head for a game...... I'm in!

I'd expect a bloody good tea for that price!
