Lightweight batting pads
« on: December 27, 2015, 11:35:34 AM »

Morning chaps. Just a quick one about lightweight pads; thinking of investing as my GM 808s have seen better days.
Looked at Morrant, but they're a bit pricey - are there decent alternatives out there? Anyone had any to recommend?
Cheers :)

Pretty much everything Puma do is pretty light, usually can get decent prices on them as well. Last two pairs I've had have been quality, solid and light and I think comfier than cane pads.

I guess it depends if you want light pads that look terrible or look good?

Light  for me in around 500 gm per pad or thereabouts
Aero morrants aswanizerog are worth checking

Used aero and morrants and both  worth the extra money

Which ones? I've got the Ltd Ed ones and they aren't super light.

I am looking too and giving serious consideration to the SF ones I saw posted on here.

76 quid for pads and matching gloves shipped......... Mate trying to put me off but keep being drawn back!!

In addition to this if someone had pads half a season and the split at the fastener would you send them back or put down to usage?

Don't think I've ever seen a pair of 'terrible' looking pads!

Anyone tried Sg Litevate?

All down to opinion I guess. I have a pair of Aeros.... nice light pads but a touch on the ugly side I think. Matter of fact, most non-cane pads look ugly, except for the Bopara RSB pads  :D
