Had a couple to guys that played for my old side in Kent that I played for since I was 10. One was a slow spin bowler had 2500+ club wickets and was playing the sat leage side last season as 81 and still picking up 25 wickets in a season, serious skill level for his age. The other retired at 78 due to his eye sight. Was a opening bowler up until 60odd and had pace then had 2700 club wickets and 10000 runs.
How many club players can claim over 2500 wickets and over 10000 runs.

Serious respect, perks ally don't plan on retiring ever lol

Yep tore my ACL in my 30s reconstruction wasn't an option then, I'm a young at heart 58 and came to cricket late, but I'm going to keep playing until I physically can't or until they don't pick me!

Pleased to hear your still playing and have a great mindset for the game i to are still playing after tearing the inside of my knee landing awkward trying to bang the ball in bowling in 2013 can no longer bowl  have arthritis in the knee but like yourself will keep playing until I  physically can't fortunate enough to reach  50 playing seasons in 2015

Lovely clip.. Missus sighed.. Once played with a bloke in LA that was late 80's. He even kept the grounds. Only played socials though.

How do you turn a phrase? Haha. I agree though surely if we refer to them as a grounds keeper then they keep grounds. Your English made perfect sense to me mate :)
