Geoff plays for our 2nd XI (The Retreat) on a Wednesday night. I think he also plays Saturdays too.

However he's not the only 80 year old cricketer I played with last season. On a couple of Saturdays when there wasn't a game for my team, I instead turned out for Green Hammerton and on the second occasion, it was the 80th birthday of a chap called Arthur. He took a couple of wickets, a catch and probably would have got some runs too had not an enormous thunderstorum just after tea left most of the outfield underwater.

Great video, keep playing Geoff ! We have a 78 year old guy still paying at my club, no reason to stop playing.

What a lovely video and a reminder that you're never too old to play

He was quicker between the wickets than me! Great video that, thoroughly enjoyed it :)

Watched the video and good luck to him but the realality is he's a rarity i think a lot depends on your lifestyle in  your younger years and the job you do  know guys in there 50s  and there cricket days have ended they work in construction /building trades and knees and wrists are shot.

I can echo this, I'm forty five and tbh I'm shot to pieces, football and work being the main contributors to an ailing body.
