My BB net bat
« on: January 11, 2016, 10:19:50 PM »

Evening guys. Just thought I would share my BB net bat and offer a quick review.

Saw the bats listed and made enquires about this one. 2.8 full profile.

Service from Tai was excellent, and I received the bat within 2 days of making payment and exactly as described.

The bat is not the best looker but certainly not a minger either, 6 grains that are fairly straight and evenly spaced, the bat has a butterfly or water mark on the rear of the bat but doesn't come through to the face. Flat face with a square toe which is a little different. Nice oval handle that feels good with a single ripple grip.

The bat is balanced very well and the duck bill toe will certainly help that giving the bat a mid placed profile. It's also a large bat with 38mm edges and nice chunky shoulders and toe. Certainly gives confidence when I look down in my stance.
Now Iv only tapped up an old ball but this is a naughty little pinger. UK made and the pressing is top notch this will be a serious piece of willow once knocked in and and will be a great little bat for those damp days to save my Laver and other more expensive bats but I certainly won't sacrifice performance I don't feel.
And for less than £100.

The only shame is the stickers on the back now have the splice sticker inside a clear sticker, very minor I know but lived when then just covered the splice only but understand they lift a lot more than the new design. Also think the lime green is a sweet little touch.

Seeing all these naughty BBs is making me question why I didn't buy that 2lb9 one I had my eye on... :(

Great looking twig for the price Chris, hope it gets some use in the summer as it deserves some! (Then again, so does the rest of your collection...)  :D

I like the green color scheme on the BB bat batter than the blue design ...

Nice stick mate ...

Just a little update on this, netted with it for 2 hours today cricket balls not bola balls.

I love this bat, no doubt this could be a match bat. This just pings so well and the pick up is amazing this maybe my favourite profile ever just for me seems to feel so good. If @Blank Bats run a net bat offer again I would be all over it.

@Blank Bats , this is a great net bat. Can you make me one in same shape but 2-13, oval (thin) handle and higher middle? Can you put a bow in the bat as well?

You like a bow dont you IT.

So do I, but a gentle bow as opposed to an Asian type aggressive bow.

^ @Blank Bats , ok it is a net bat, I can live with your biggest bow albeit gentle. How about weight, handle, and high middle? Are those specs doable?
