Time for the write up!
The bat is about 2/3 heartwood on the right handers inside edge, with 6 grains and a virtually blemish free face.
The back has a few blemishes and imperfections, but to me they add character and being on the back don't make any difference to the bat in my opinion.
The bat has been finished well with a lovely shine to it from the polishing. It feels silky smooth and there are a couple of tell tale signs it has been hand sanded, I am highly impressed.
The black and white sticker combination and the white chevron give a classic colour scheme, while the carbon fibre effect, embossing and detailing on the greyed out 3 on the B3 logo give them a modern feel. I also like that the Bespoke sticker has been embossed and the black background of the stickers
There is a minimal amount of concaving towards the sweet spot of the bat, with none up high. This is to both help with the bat's balance and to keep the weight down to the magic figure of 2lb9 finished. The handle is a lovely thick oval which makes it pick up very well and just feels right in your hands. I usually use an extra half grip on the bottom half of the handle, but that won't be necessary with this bat!
As for the ping, the toe is expectedly dead, as on all bats, with it starting to respond better about 50mm up the blade.
It then responds well to just below the Bespoke sticker, with the best response coming roughly level with the small pin knot in the face (about 920mm from the toe)
And the vital stats for those who are interested.
Weight in it's current state: 2lb9 exactly
Edge at largest point: 27mm
Edge at shoulder: 12mm
Edge at toe: 18mm
Peak spine height: 59mm
And lastly for now, here is a (rather badly done) ping test, recorded on my phone.
