The article itself contains a video with nearly five minutes of highlights from Englands U19 match against Zimbabwe.

There is another article on the BBC website that details the agreement a little more:

"The deal gives the BBC the rights to show video clips (up to 6 minutes per hour of play), end of day round-ups......."

Theoretically, for a full day's play, they could show a 36 minute highlights package which is better than nothing for those with no access to digital platforms. It includes the T20 World Cup next month too.

yeah....things are changing slowly, I believe BT sport have the next away Ashes series(not 100 per cent on that).

BT Sports acquired the rights for all Australian home series for 5 years including the Big Bash League.

i guess this is similar to the deal that cricinfo also have with the ICC. is nice to see more places showing highlights.

do you think that the ECB are behind this or it's left purely to business enterprise and timings? what I am getting at is there is a mass of surveys about the decline of cricket and some bigwigs at the ECB have made it clear they ideally want cricket to reach more of an audience. Are these latest announcements just a coincidence or is there really a push from the ECB and broadcasters to change the landscape?

Can't quite figure out the answer to this myself....

Direct agreement with the ICC rather than the ECB I think, sounds like there's been a recent realisation at the ICC that trying to push cricket to a wider audience is a good idea.

That Jack Burnham looks a player judging on that innings!
