Bat shape repository
« on: February 01, 2016, 04:56:58 PM »

Since there are numerous bat shapes/profiles out there I thought it would be nice to have a spot to put them all in. Put as much detail around shape as you can, don't need anything on the grade or ping simply the shape of the bat, weight, pick-up etc.

I'll start you off

B3 Mullanator

Mullanator  Profile#3684
Weight - 2lb 11.5oz
Toe weight - 1lb 9.5oz
PUI - 5.74
Cleft Density - Normal (400)
Cleft Size - Normal
Pick-up - Good (Not bottom heavy, feels the correct weight)
Big edges - 40
High Spine - 65
Some concaving 3mm

Just an idea (and I realise the irony of the suggestion)... Would it be possible to delete all posts that aren't a profile? Stop the 100s of 'That looks nice' posts?

Just a quick stop guide of Profiles?

Outrageous suggestion!, I know on the bat grip database we didn't. Let's see how we get on first and if the posts need removing we'll do it.

A thought - rather than a bat by bat set of specs and a picture, how about a categorised list that's updated by each poster? So something like profile type and weight that they own, and a link to a review/photos if they've uploaded one? Possibly more useful than what could be an enormous topic of photos? So if you want a new bat and want to know what shape you could consider, you look at the newest post and browse, then examine the linked photos to help choose.

Could use some more thought but something like (starting with a few of my own):

High middle
B3 DB1 2015, 2lb10oz - http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=35217.msg552843#msg552843

Mid/low
Aldred Silver Sovereign 2014, 2lb10.5oz - link

Low duckbill
Mongoose Rebel 2015, 2lb8.5oz - custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=36584.msg579766#msg579766

etc etc

Thats a great idea too, I say we should have it open to both. I am a visual person and more likely to look at pics, if interested in the shape then i might look at the review but others are different.

Will double check in the morning but look at this pic and it might help
