Gray Nicolls F18
« on: February 06, 2016, 12:33:59 PM »

This is my new F18 500 Light bat for this year. It arrived just before Christmas and I took advantage of It's Just Cricket's pay in instalments and hand picking from the factory offer.
I'm very pleased with it and matches my spec very well, as I wanted a high middle and no concaving. Very pleased with the grain and rebound. A few small marks, but these are grade 2 and at £140 it's a bargain. I've put a second grip on and it weighs in at 2.10. It's the first GN I've owned so I'm hoping it goes well. It will be being tested out on Monday in our first net of the season. Can't wait!

Lovely looking bat for the money, I've bought a load of bats from Paul & Chris. Never had a bad one

Beauty !!! Have found a great  appreciation for Gray Nicolls bats lately.  I picked up the F-18 in the shop last year, and absolutely love the feel of it.  What is the edge and spine size on this bat?

We have another gorgeous one of these in at the moment! A 500 light in 2'7 or a 4 star in 2'9....

I like the F18 profile. I'll wager it picks up very well.
IJC know their stuff, so I say you've got yourself a goodun'.

It has 40mm edges and spine height is about 65mm, so fairly large for no concaving. It picks up very well, it's not quite as wand like as my Salix or H4L but they are both concaved and weigh 2.8. It pings very well so far, but will give an update after my first net tomorrow. I went for the F18 as I liked the shape with a higher middle.
