Teamwear
« on: February 08, 2016, 12:24:57 AM »

My new club is looking at some new gear for the new season and I've volunteered to look into it. Looking at usual stuff - shirts and playing wear, plus tracksuits, shorts, hoodies etc. From a big brand ie Adidas, Kukri, Canterbury, Gray Nicolls. Anyone had any good/bad experiences? Is the kit decent? It's a bit of a minefield so any help gratefully received :)

Kalibazar or Serious Cricket are the two we've used in recent years.

Both not had any issues with.

We used Kukri, not the smoothest of transactions but not too bad, we've found the gear to be top notch though so far.

My club use Rhino Teamwear, they mainly do Rugby gear but cricket also. I don't rate their whites at all but the rest of the kit is ok (i.e. Hoodies, Polos etc)

Used Kukri last couple of years and the kit was of good quality and pretty well priced. Their service seemed a bit hit and miss to be honest. Switched to using Masuri this year. Just put an order in now so cant talk about quality but i'm sure it will be spot on having seen the stuff they make for others. Price is a bit more expensive than Kukri but not unjustifiable in my opinion. Also used surridge a few years a go and they were so so quality I found.

My club use Wintech currently the whites are a tad heavy, the service is something less than desired after your initial bulk order though but very very cheap

We have just started using Gray Nicolls through Asad at @Uzi Sports. Very impressed with the range in terms of quality and price point and the embroidery quality is better than Kukri (which I had at a previous club) and online kit, who were our previous supplier

Since I've been at my club we have used:

Hunts County - Shirts went "bobbly" after a few washes. Otherwise fine.

North Gear - Possibly the best we have used, gutted they went under  :(

Wintech - was almost identical to the north gear stuff other than the logos, no idea why we stopped using them!

Kukri - Okay quality, very white ( which I'm not a fan of) and sometimes big delay in orders.

Masuri - Okay if not remarkable. Quality is good, trousers come up short for taller players. Not always the quickest.

Basically, whoever you use someone will moan, so I don't envy anyone who has the task of sorting club kit.

Serious Cricket
Quite cheap, no stock holding (order as and when)
Polos, whites, training gear and jackets too

They also now do the official u19 t20 stuff if your club does that

Have a look at the B3 teamwear. My midweek side have used it for a season now and all still looks good with no grumbles from any of them yet.

How did you find ordering from the club shop with Wintech? We have had a few problems im yet to bring back up with themselves
