But it's a world cup, you don't take a team "for the future" to a world cup - you take your best 15 players that are available.

I highly doubt the England footy team will consist of a bunch of U21 players this summer...

Can't deny his batting ability and I don't mind that he thinks Wright should have been picked (he may be correct, Wright is in tremendous form) what I took exception to was the putting down of James Vince, as a former teammate and more importantly as a professional sportsman there was no need to comment on Vince's inclusion. To suggest he didn't deserve his place was unprofessional and unnecessary.

Maybe they should try that, get the youngsters an extra experience of being a national disappointment even though they never realistically stood a chance.

Finny steve not going to be fit for the World Cup. Plunkett replaces him.

Gutted as he was the only bowler with abit different to others in England. I.e his bounce and look of getting wickets.

Will Plunkett play? Well he didn't in SA so knowing England they'll go with Jordan, woakes topley,l.

Plunkett replaced Jordan and went for 19..... Williamson tucking into him.

Jordan back on and gone for 14 off this over...... Williamson 44 from 22. New Zealand looking at 250 here!

Rashid and Ali pulling it back a bit here. Buttler has managed to take a stumping off Rashid! Sky sports app seems to be the most up to date scorecard by the way.

Rashid and Ali pulled it back well.

Ali bowled out for 30

Rashid 3 overs for 12 at 3!! Much better than our pace attack.

Looking like a smart move sending Rashid to play in the Bash!

Good recovery by the bowlers after Williansons' start, hard to tell how good the wicket is but they were going at over 10 an over for the first 10 should it should be decent.

Thinking about England's starting XI next week. Pace is much easier to hit in second half of innings than spin. I'd like to see Liam Dawson given a go ahead of Plunkett and Jordan. Bayliss said he was picked after training well in UAE. Offers a different batting option if we lose early wickets and can field anywhere. Reckon he can repeat the Michael Yardy role when we won.

Haven't noticed that happening too often personally. Better than cricinfo who had be believing Johnson Charles was bowling first change against India the other day for a bit  :D.
