Heartbreaking! Time for a bat-cover...
« on: February 14, 2016, 08:15:54 PM »

Used my b3 3-stripe for the first time today at nets, love it.
Took it out of my bag, though, and discovered these on the back. Gutted!
Don't blame b3 of course but seems like the wood is so soft... If you press your fingernail in, the dint stays!
Just a warning to others... Make sure you invest in a bat cover with your bat :)

Or buy a bag with a separate bat cave?

Iv said this before but it does annoy me B3 don't give you a bat cover with 3 stripe model or indeed crown. Having spent £300+ on a bat I think its a bit off personally.

Whilst I agree to a point mate with some of what your saying it not normal practise which say retailers to sell bats with covers.

Did hits hard come with a cover of Salix when you was involved there I know you didn't with some retailers.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree what I will say is at 6 pound the bat covers we use are very good I buy them for my bats.

Another issue is where does it stop these bats where on the half price voucher but point taken and will be raised again at there next meeting and all comments will be listened too and looked at.

As for soft it will be the same as any other bats as we do not press both sides and all bats will mark with a finger nail on the back mate...

To be fair how many brand bats give you a cover? No-one's ever given me one that's for sure :)
100% my fault: I should have picked one up when I was at the factory!

No doubt mate! It wasn't a thread complaining... More of a warning to others who haven't got a cover :)
It's only the back anyway. Might get some sandpaper on it.

The marks would probably suggest something from spikes...

Pretty sure there £7.50 Dave. I presumed they came with the bat, and was disappointed they didn't, so had to buy another bat to save on postage. An idea Dave to either put it on the website so you can tick the option or somewhere in the emails you list the options. As I would of had my bats knocked in as well if I would of known.

No postage is 7.50 mate next day in the Uk as standard on bats.

bat covers are 6 quid mate
http://www.b3cricket.com/cricket%20bat%20bag

The knocking in option is on the website when you get to the end of your bat route it is in the final options
http://www.b3cricket.com/custom-bat/custom-adult-light-bat

agree though bat cover should be added at that point.
