2 new bats from UZI
« on: February 24, 2016, 02:10:13 PM »

My son has taken advantage of the "County" deal for the Black Mamba pro bat. I must say the performance of this bat is superb. He has had a Harrow size bat, it weighs in a 2lb 4oz and picks up like a dream. I will get photos asap but it is covered in cherries as he has used it for about 8 net sessions in the 2 weeks he has had it. It gives that satisfying "thunk" every time he hits the ball so even defensive shots sound like they are being driven for 4. I must also thank Zurain at UZI who got the bat oiled, knocked in and prepped at short notice so that I could pick it up and take it straight to the nets for my son.
To go with the bat my son also chose some green Mamba pads and gloves which, again, are excellent quality and he preferred them to the "pro" as he likes pads to be as light as possible.
At the same time I treated myself to a lovely looking Spartan that will be used to lean on during next seasons "over 40" games. Again excellent service at UZI B'ham, the bats are really something else.
Just need some UZI bat covers now (come on Asad) and an UZI bag to put all the gear in ;) ;)

cheers

Steve

What are cherries?
Doesn't he remove all marks from the face after every net, I thought that was normal behaviour...  :-[

Here is a link to photos of the bats as I can never get photos to display.

There are also some of my younger son's Gray Nics size 4 (also from UZI)

Ill be totally honest, until about 2 weeks ago id of laughed off buying an Uzi bat and gone for one of the big brands.

But ive seen 4 or 5 bats now that really impress me, these included, and would definitely look at them next time im searching for a bat!

Ask any of the bat makers and suppliers who's the fussiest buyer and I bet most would name Asad at Uzi .
The bats in his shops are as good as it's gonna get and his Uzi pro bats are arguably the cream

Just to re-iterate, the UZI Pro is a Harrow weighing in at 2lbs 4oz and just look at the profile and edges.
It is also an absolute gun. We are always pleased with the service and results.
By the way my son is normally swinging this bat at the nets behind UZI every other Saturday.  :D

cheers

Thanks Steve for your kind words, we gave improved quality of our range every year and keep doing that. I want to make Uzi sports the best place in UK to buy cricket bats and I believe we can't be beaten on quality
