Ayrtek Premier Bat Review
« on: December 29, 2009, 03:30:55 PM »

I bought this bat off of Tom in August and I've noticed reviews on different bats on here so I thought I'd do one of mine :D

Visually this bat looks good, 10 straight grains, bit of heartwood on the outside edge and blemish free. I like the stickers and they don't dominate the blade leaving you to see the quality of the willow.

Secondly this bat picks up well, allows you to generate alot of speed during the stroke for a bat of 2lb 9. The bat is very chunky for this weight as well with 30mm edges and when you hit the ball it stays hit. I have used it in 2 or 3 games and just came in for a hit at the end and the few I middled didn't take long to reach the boundary and even the ones not off the middle still reached the boundary.

Nice profile with a low-ish middle and a slight bow in the blade, toe's not too thick but not susceptable to damage if looked after.

I have put 3/4 grips on the handle as I found it too thin but this is my preference.

Overall I'm happy with this bat as it's very powerful and has a large sweetspot, would happily recommend this bat as it's good value for money.
