Poor bowling show by eng bowlers giving lollypops in his arc, why not bowl full lenght outside off stump take a slip let him reach for the ball instead of feeding him in his range lol

Chris Gayle some player. Looked like he was batting in 2nd gear and hammers a century in 40 odd balls.

That was the most composed and focused innings I have seen from Gayle. He played very sensibly and got to 94 of 38-39 balls, he could have smashed the world record, but chose to bat the game out and not leave anything to chance.  He was a joy to watch, shame about the England bowling attack, but as many have said no great surprise. Inexperienced bowling attack mixed with not been good another at this level made this chase pretty comfortable for the Windies team. Ramdin and Bravo gave England a glimmer of hope half way through. Then Gayle dispatched Moen for 3 sixes in a row, which pretty much sealed England's fate in this match. Hopefully England can bounce back and find away to qualify.

Anyone watching today? Really hope Afghan pull off a shock. 153/7 might not be enough if Dilshan and Mathews get going though.

Sadly I'm watching :(

Afg are not out of this but they need wickets. Sl are relying on the old stagers as expected

Massive game today lads...do we need another batter in(vince) drop jordan and get root to bowl a few?
Or hope to just spin them out? The problem with that is Ali goes the distance every time.
I think we gotta hope theres a bit of swing when we bowl otherwise the seamers will go all over the place

Playing Vince would just result in pointlessly pushing Buttler/Morgan down the order, he's there as backup for Root/openers. Don't need 9 batsmen anyway tbh, it's only 20 overs! Think the batsmen did fine last game, 182 is a decent score - if someone had put a really significant innings in we'd have made 200. I'd still want Plunkett in for Jordan, but as Jordan had pretty good figures that's not gonna change. Dawson could come into contention but not at Mumbai again.

chin up....If we do go out it's Gayle world class innings that done us and I don't believe anyone can bowl to him in that mood unless you pin him underneath the arm pit with genuine pace.

India lose to Pakistan tomorrow and the world champions are out so the qualification is cut throat.

if we get 180 again we could bank on SA bottling it?

Odd selections from the aussies dropping Finch and 2 their best bowlers (hazlewood or Hastings)
They continue to rate village player agar! Nothing special with the ball or bat.

Win here for NZ should see them all but through to the semi's

Maxwell looking like he's considering just playing as a left hander, particularly enjoyed the switch hit forward defensive. Not as good as Colin Munro's right handed late cut for 4 in the first innings though. And he's gone! Aus in trouble... *tries to hide grin*
