How long for a pro refurb?
« on: March 02, 2016, 03:58:09 PM »

Hey chaps,

Sent my old Mjolnir off to Newbery for a full refurb a month back, and haven't heard a dicky bird.
I rang them and left a message, and still nothing.
How long do they need, y'think? I appreciate approaching Easter is their busiest time, but still - a month?   ???

Sent mine to newbery at the end of September, came back in just under 4 weeks... Was worth the wait as it looked stunning

I guess it depends on how busy they are. Not to have heard back is a bit off. I'd go into full comms meltdown, email, tweet, Facebook - usually the ones that are visible to other customers tend to get the quickest feedback these days. I'm sure they are just busy leading up to the season however

Good memory Smiley. Hope it ended well for him.
I'll wait another week and give them another call.

I hate walking in the the Shop at newbery especially on match day, as you either get a dirty look as if "you could never afford that" or "do you have to play with them" the service I've had in there in recent years is very different to what it used to be when it was in the shack, with the old guy (forgot his name) but i have heard a story of where he disappeared to!
