It is it started like this no bubblewrap Uk or overseas no issues

Because the bats got bigger they started bubblewrap to overseas customers and had no issues uk.

Now issue Uk bubblewrap to all customer.

The biggest thing is bat sizes spine hight has changed but boxes stayed the same this is changing too so whilst i can only apologize.

This has been sorted now

If I'd ordered a new product, regardless if it was a cricket bat(natural product, you don't use the back of the bat, etc, etc) and it turned up damaged, it would be going straight back I'm afraid, I may be more sympathetic if I'd got it half price but the packaging is same regardless of discount.

Don't think in any way I'm having a go at B3 because I'm very happy with mine but I am a bit disappointed that some bats are still showing up with dents and no bubble wrap. Mine turned up with around 6 which was apparently before the introduction of bubble wrap. Talk can be cheap if things aren't followed through. Customer service can also be about not just saying things but making sure what you say is what happens.

no they always didn't use bubble wrap that was the original issue but thought it was all sorted but obviously not.

Will be sorted now though I can assure you of that.

Been knocking this in today and I'm surprised how few indentation marks are being made from my heavy GN mallet. From my pretty hard knocking in, it seems pretty much ready to go straight away. The bat also had rounded edges, another plus point when buying a bat. Nothing worse than a razor sharp edge to begin with.

My Tonto butterfly was slightly dinged on the peak of the spine last year . Streaky suggested steaming after i had already sanded it down. I steam now and it works a treat. No big deal.

Cover all the bits u don't want steamed with a towel then hover the dinged bit over a boiling kettle. Worked a treat for me. So only expose the bit your working on

@procricket B3 looks like the Tonto has a higher middle than the TKC?

What other ones from the Custom range have higher middles than the TKC?

Thanks

Performance

... toe has a noticeable drop off in performance (as expected) but I am surprised how quickly it goes from ping to dead zone around 10cm from the toe. With other bats, I have noticed a gradual drop off in performance while the B3 feels very sudden."

I assume by now you have knocked it in?  That deadspot should only be about 3 cm from the toe once knocked properly and will disappear once played in. Your bat look no different to my 2 stripe match bat. Will be a beast. Tonto is a good profile with a focussed sweetspot. I think you did well.

I knocked in the edges and toe for around 20-30 minutes. I haven't been able to make any indents into the face so I presumed it was ready to go.

Used it for the first time in winter nets, didn't really hit enough balls to make a sound judgement but I was surprised how much vibration there was from shots. Probably a combination of my lack of timing and the handle and blade needing some more prep. I did have some damage from flicking away a full toss  >:(

Seems like everyone is haha but it's indoor ney season and everyone is trying to whack every ball that comes to them. No matter what brand of bat you use taking a full blooded blow to the toe won't end well for you.

Of course hard floor and hard balls there gonna be no give at all.

I use one of my net bats (well they become match bats normally !!!!)...
