Name: Carlo/Carlos/the jackal/skips/kips(short for 'skips')/mr miagee (what? I don't know who this is). I get called all sorts and I don't care.
Highest score: 128 n.o. League

Best bowling 5-44, about 25 years ago off spin most caught deep square leg

Teams played for : 1sts,2nds now likely to be in the 3rds(or stiffs).

Favourite bat: now this is tricky....m and h original that lasted about 5 years(yes an old model), early salix pod, Newbery Uzi...prob the m and h.

Best food at teas:2 years ago at Shepperton CC. Hot sausage and onion sandwiches and much much more.I clocked the tea early doors and declared I'm batting 11 and won't be fielding.Hands down the best tea ever.

Bowling style: offies or net bowling total trundle. I do have over 250 wickets thou back-in-the-day when bits weren't falling off my body.
Batting style:traditional opener trying to be more expansive.kindly referred to as the best technical batsman in the club by my mates and too slow by those that don't like me  :)
Interesting fact about my cricket:in 1995 I broke the club record for total runs in a season by 1 run from my bestest mate. That record still stands today(club formed 1934-I think!).
Best advice received on the field:facing Carlos Remy who played against us on a Saturday and for Sussex the next week:Me to my partner ' we are 5 for no wicket after 10 overs, I can see it pitch and it's on me before I can move,do I get in line or out of line?' My opening partner:' don't be an idiot, get in line and you will get killed,There's another game next week'

There is always another game  :)

Footnote:interesting non cricket fact. if you watch the Apprentice on TV the is a cafe the losers go to,because I have the same surname as the people that own that cafe I am usually asked if I am related to them.Im totally bored of answering whether I am related to them or not. I don't watch the Apprentice.

@ppccopener isn't the stiffs normally the 2s (or has my whole club been getting that wrong for years?)

And are you related to the people who own the cafe that the losing team go to on The Apprentice?

Name : Joel
Age : 30-odd
Top score : 125 in a friendly, 98 in the league
Best figures 4-15 (had figures of 3 overs, 3 maidens, no runs, four wickets) in a cup game.
Team played for(1s,2s,3s etc): 2nd team captain
Favourite bat you've ever had: Bradbury Sterling, handmade, one of the first ones in the UK.
Best food to have at teas: turning cheese sandwiches into chip butties and you can't beat a scone with jam and cream.
Batting style: non-descript. Not correct enough for elegance, not a good enough eye for a slogger. Mediocre.
Bowling style: Very slow turing leggies these days. Rolled out of the fingers.
Interesting fact about your cricket: Have a club record stand of 171* for the 9th wicket (went in to bat at 22-8).

Name : Chris

Age : 20

Top score : 147*,

Best Figures - 6-1

Team played for - Hampstead CC 1st XI, Middlesex ECB Prem. Also did time on Middlesex Academy.

Favourite bat you've ever had: My Gray Nicolls bats have all been monsters. Special cupboard helps I suppose! Hard to choose between my F18 and Powerbow Gen X! Although for shape, it has to be the Newbery Platinum (I helped design it so you'd think so!)

Best food to have at teas: I'm all for something balanced. Need your quick release energy stuff, so a couple of jaffa cakes or something, then some bananas for potassium etc, along with some complex and simple carbs and proteins. I guess something like a skinless breast of chicken, brown rice, salad, banana would do the trick.

Batting Style: Inventive and aggressive. I like my reverse dogs, paddles, etc.

Bowling style: Slow Left Arm.

Interesting fact about your cricket: Only ever played one Second XI game before playing for the First XI at age 16 at Hampstead. Went straight into First XI at age 14 in Birmingham Premier League. Lucky that skippers put some faith in me I think!

On the teas you thought far too much about that, if it looks edible get it down your neck!
That said I don't think I've ever seen skinless chicken breasts or brown rice at any tea when I've been playing. The closest we get is chicken nuggets  ;)

What's a reverse dog? Is that where you get on all fours in front of your "batting partner", then put your "bat handle" between your legs in order to "play your shot"? Or am I thinking of something else...
