How do you guys do it, I use scissors bit it never gives a very straight cut.

If you pull the excess away from the end of the handle as if you're trying to pull it off. Then cut in one cut when its stretched, it works out much cleaner cut.

Helps to have decent sized sharp scissors

I am so glad someone has posted this, I really want to this too. I hate the slightly mangled grip look too!

A very Sharp scalpel does the trick and provides a nice clean cut 👍

Cut it with scissors before you put it on. But I don't think you should need to.
Don't most people bang on the excess with the flat of their hand and then roll the grip up from the bottom then down again and this pulls the excess grip onto the handle?

I find a pair of curved scissors make a lovely job

This is what I do always have done since I saw someone at our club doing it 15 years ago. Any excuse for a bit more time fiddling with my bat

I do that too, but most grips still have 3-4cm extra, presumably to cater for LH users.

Yes mate, cut it before you put it on the bat. If you cut a bit too much off you can stretch it to cover the whole handle anyway, so unless you take a sill amount off you'll be fine.

Measure to size off the bat. Flatten and cut with scissor. I get decent flat cut that way

Then apply.
