Scuff sheet removed and I gave the bat a quick sand to get rid of the lifted wood fibres.

Not the prettiest looking SPS, but it does have 9 straight grains and a mostly clean hitting area. There's a couple of small marks on the face, with the only real let down for the grade the big mark just under the stickers.

I'll give the bat a proper cleanup this weekend, but so far so good, I'm very happy with my purchase on first impression.

I never knew Newbery did a crbon handle!

Newbery also did a Mjolnir C6+ with carbon handle - will get round to posting pics at some point  ;)

Will do fella - it's sometimes nice to look at the classic bats as they are completely different from the huge lumps of willow and enormous edges they do these days  ;)

Been a while since I updated this one.

The bat is now down and had a new home. Here are some pictures of the refry as it happened.

After the scuff sheet came off I gave the bat a proper sand all over (around the stickers) starting at 120 grit and working my way up to 400.

After a coat of oil, I thought it came up pretty nice

I don't think I have a picture of it finished, but all I did after this stage was add a white UK made chevron grip, a UK scuff sheet and some fibreglass edge tape.
I'm sure if you ask @simonmay5 nicely he'll show you what it currently looks like
