Right then, this will be a two part post. The first one will be the bat as I bought it, the second will be the bat as it is now. Not a drastic change but one worth noting (and an excuse for me to get my camera out!)
This was purchased from Uzi Sports on Saturday. The price sticker on it said £109.99.
I bought it because basically I liked the shape, I think the stickers are some of the best on the market at the moment, and as most of you will probably know I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Ben Stokes!
The bat weighed 2lb10 in the wrapper, including the multi texture grip, factory fitted toe guard, shrink wrap and rail hanger. I chose this one because it looks almost perfect to me, with a bit of character on the face and heartwood in the right place. It also happened to tap up the best (off the mallet) of the three Black & Orange DC580+ bats that I found in this weight. (There were also a couple of stunning Blue & Yellow ones on the shelf, too).
By no means a bad looking bat, not a perfectly clean face but heartwood in the right place.

Lovely duckbill shape.

The stickers are some of the best on the market currently, in my opinion.

Apparently shrink wrap can be deceiving, but it looks rather full from this angle.

I’m not sure what the A means, but there seems to be plenty of wood in the shoulders.
