New strettons have landed!
« on: March 24, 2016, 05:22:05 PM »

I have had strettons a good few years now, and rate them very highly.

But, my design, which was what most strettons were made to be like(strip design across the middle) often made the velcroing not perfect.
So when the switch to sublimation and printing came I wanted a redesign. Plan was to have my current ones refurbed. But a few emails to and from George. And I new pair it was!

As a valued customer George offered me a pretty discounted price, and at that price I just couldn't say no!

So my spare set was sold to me pye, and the new set ordered.

Design! Well I'm obsessed with red at moment, and have always liked red camo, so that was going on the inners.
Outer! Wanted a darker look, I had white so go with black this time.
And personalisation?

Well I'm a big big comic book fan, and wanted to go with a more obscure character that I liked. And one that went with red and black.
Deadpool coming out at cinema his year meant he was ruled out, as it'd be less obscure so went with the mighty REDHOOD!
I wanted the character printer on, but George was worried about quality on black, so a patch in different material it was. Which means it can be moved about. Or removed. Convenient.

For anyone interested, Redhood is a former Robin who doesn't believe in bat mans no kill policy, so pretty much like deadpool is an antihero.

Anyway less of the sad stuff. Pads time!!

And my current stretton collection

Strettons and there customisation are obviously very personally things, so I don't expect many to like what I have, all that matters to me is I do. And that's why I won't ever attempt to sell these. There mine!

Also a hat tip to the mighty George, top top man in this business, a gent and a pleasure to deal with everytime. Cheers

From first contact to arrival it was about 2 and a half weeks.

Took 3 days to design and alter designs(my explanation skills are poor so small tweaks)

Then it should have been five days, but the first set off material am and George wasn't happy with it, so he ordered some more in. That's what I like about him and his service, he wants eevrything to be perfect and it'll do or, about there aren't in his vocabulary. He'll start again or re order to ensure everything his spot on.

I can understand that with George! I like both of your sets, I have a design in the works but now i've sat here looking at yours I want to add a few tweaks, you wouldn't mind me stealing the removable patch would you? I wanted the front of mine to be plain, I didn't want to add any real personal touches such as club badge or initials, but I might add the club badge as a removable part?

Seems to be so many options! I'm guessing you are even able to customise the straps and bag by the looks of it... I like the big bold writing on the straps are they any other versions or just the towel ones?

Cheers mate, Ill never be sure how much i like these till ive tried a set but I'm willing to fork out just based on reviews, so keeping it simple and less personal it will be easier if I want to sell on. Should have some money next month sometime (unless i acquire it from petty cash i have at home and replace later)
