New Phantom Cricket Softs!
« on: April 01, 2016, 07:16:32 PM »

Hello all,

This post is purely in my personal capacity - nothing to do with IJC or anything of the like.

Just showing off my new Phantom softs I unboxed today! WOW! (Ignore the bat, it's a refurb job Phantom did a while ago, and has appeared on the forum before!)

The gloves are incredible, and I love the extra wide side wings and shorter top hat on the pads. Wowee did this make my weekend start off well!

Enjoy!

I do like the Phantom pads, not many companies have 8 cane pads nowadays and they look classy.

How comes on the colour red ones the inside padding is black an not white like the others, did you request this Chris?

@liscon12 Yes - it was something I requested for my coloured kit stuff. I didn't want my maroon trousers to rub off on the white inside and make it look grubby - black will help cover this up!

8 cane is unusual, and another example of Phantom doing something a little different.

Just over the moon with the stuff!

These look very nice indeed, only thing I would change is I'd make the bottom of the middle 3 canes level but that's me being ridiculously picky! Good stuff Chris

They look terrific bar the quilted top hats, can't give a reason in particular, maybe just looks like a bit of overkill.

Just had a teammate walk into the nets with phantom pads, gloves.. Have to say, looks the part, and he loves it.. He was borderlining paranoia everytime the ball hit the pads though! (Expensive kit, dont want ball marks etc)

Tell him the best way to avoid that is to use the bat  ;)
