Don't get this - usually you're posting about it being an amateur game , giving everyone a game and being Corinthian and now basically your indulging in sharp practice to get higher up the league table?!

His opinions change as often as his gloves.

We won again! We lost the toss but stuck at it bowl them out for 158. Chased them down for 4 in 29 overs. Another game this afternoon in the cup, love a 2 game weekend!

And the Chertsey 3XI juggernaut is rolling!!  We turned over local rivals Egham by 6 wickets. We bowled them out on a slow deck for 108, with yours truly pillaging 4-30 with what the club is now calling - 'Bruce-duckers'. We chased it pretty easily.

3 wins out of 3 for the club yesterday, plus picking up 3rd team player at our awards night last night meant I staggered home much the worse for wear having mashed a chicken kebab into my face and then falling over a traffic cone outside my house.  So my early season fitness and health campaign has got off to it's usual start!

My team won, we batted first and scored 208. I scored 8 batting at the death with the Mongoose.

Opposition never got going and ended 156-9, I bowled 9 overs 1 for 20. Pretty happy,, especially after I got hit for 4 and 6 in two balls. Opposition opener got 35 off 36 overs playing win/lose cricket, well played.

I scored again today.

The opposition won the toss and batted first, making 285-9. They're overseas player getting 58 batting at 5, the numbers 4 and 6 getting out on 49 each and a very quickfire 37 at the death from a hard hitting number 8.

In reply we were 147 all out. Their spinner taking 4 wickets and nobody making a telling contribution. Onwards and upwards, I may use coloured pens next week...
coloured pens ? You will become a Red Inker ( not out Batsman)

Nah, still think it but just decided that we can't beat it so might as well join in.. Good guys never win after all and with the stroke of bad luck (and verbal send off), other opener not hitting it but given out caught and our number 3 lbw when he hit it just meant the decision was made easier.

Nope, not bothering with the sportsmanship stuff now, no point as it oniy means its my/our game that's ruined. Might as well join in with the majority.
One must always play the game the way it's meant to be played not doing so makes us no different to the cheats.

We played @peplow team yesterday and got off to a decent start having them 18-6 off 6 overs, 2 of their lads batted well and put on 116 partnership before we finally got the break through and bowled them out for 155. Just in time as it happened as it absolutely lashed it down at tea meaning we were set a revised total of 86 from 25 overs.

Lost 3 wickets chasing it down but did so in 10.1 overs to get us off to a winning start, hopefully a sign of things to come.

Played on a tiny pitch yesterday. We set the oppo 271 and couldn't quite get the last wicket. Had my boy acting as 12th man which was hilarious. He is only 6!
Lop sided score card...

Played yesterday.

Lost the toss and asked to bowl first. We kept them down to 228 all out from 9 overs. I bowled 11-2-40-3. My last over went for 18 which was 3 sixes from a tailender down the ground.

We chased the runs down for the loss of 5 wickets. My mate playing to help us out hit 104* from 41 balls batting at 7. It is safe to say he has been asked to come back next week. I wasn't required to bat.

Hmm slight understatement !ha
Managed to have a net before and just have a knock with it ,, as did a couple of teammates, who all offered serious money for the bat.
The Newbury kudos2 my mate got off Asad@uzi is even better tho!!
That's a bat that could get someone serious runs
A bit heavier than my h4l tho

Opening league game of the season for us away from home. Won the toss and elected to bat on a fairly decent looking track. We got 212 all out which probably we were a little disappointed with especially as we were scoring at a very healthy rate for the first 25 overs.
Still picked up a couple of wickets early and had them 50-3. several missed oppotunities and a batsmen punishing some average bowling in the middle lead them to 179-3.  Knowing what their tail was like last year, just one wicket and we had a very slim outside chance. We finally took a couple of chances and the two batsmen responsible for the 100+ were removed in consecutive overs with the score still on 179. 179-5 very quickly became 187-8 before we bowled them out for 205 winning by 7 runs and taking maximum points.
Personally I got 7 coming in at number 9, kept ok and did manged to snaffle a nick standing up to take the final and wining wicket.
