First league game yesterday, won toss batted. Out 2nd over without troubling the scorers! In my defence it would have got much better batsmen out than me. Back of a length outside off peg, kept low and jagged back 4-5 inches. Howzat?! On yer bike son! Anyway we racked up 270 and declared after 45. Bowled oppo out for 220 or so in 53rd over. Good game against a good bunch of lads.

I didnt realise Wooburn Narkovians played Sunday league cricket? Nor Fulmer for that matter? I'm assuming that's who you play for as that's who they were playing today. Nice teas at Wooburn, bloody cold there mind and have to park about 5 miles from the clubhouse!

yep my bad, worded wrong.. yea this is my first season for fulmer as i was looking for a sunday team to play for, they play around 18-20 freindly's throughout the season.. teas really are wonderful here and it was a bloody long walk with a big heavy bag on my back lol but it was a enjoyable game against a nice bunch
wer do u play mate?

First game of the season rained out, was totally all dry all day, outfield was wet but playable but the umpires we're keen to get their cash and head home, and the opposition were also fairly keen to have their share of the points again us since we came down last season.  :(

First league game last Saturday, comfortable win, 249-8 plays 88a.o. Scored 22 with the bat, was terrible having not batted since last season. Picked up 3-11 with the ball but now have a Subungual Hematoma on my big toe, hurts like a bugger, should probably go get it drained as it is looking rather swollen and angry!

First league game, first win.
Continuing on from winning the league last year.
Bowled first, oppo 209 a.o. off 44.
We then chased a reduced 161 off 27 due to the rain, won by 7 wickets.
Personally 2-25 off 6, not bad considering first 2 overs went for 17! Wasn't needed with the bad.

I got 55 runs, off 3 times for rain. Hard work. We managed 160-7 off 38 and restricted them to 131-8

This cold weather really needs to do one, only played 3 games, about 30 overs under the belt and I'm struggling already. Lower back, shoulder and left knee giving me particular grief at the moment. In other news Voltarol seems quite good, if horrendously expensive.

I made my 1st team debut on Saturday against another Kent Premier League side on Saturday. When I came on to bowl there were too left handers (the opener and the number 3) and there was a very small boundary on their leg side from mid on to mid wicket which was no more than 40 metres and the rest of the boundary wasn't much bigger. I knew that being young and against my ex team they would go after me and I'd probably go for some runs. Surprisingly I didn't go for as many as I thought would. I was switched ends after 6 overs and by this time there were two right handers so the leg side boundary was still tiny. At this point it was during the death overs and as a spinner I fully expected to go for 10+ an over but I bowled very full and straight and managed to keep the run rate down a fair bit. My figures weren't very impressive but I was very happy with how I bowled and my captain was also impressed especially with the pressure I was under. Unfortunately during our run chase we were doing really well and we were hit by an intense 45 minute rain delay which left puddles on the outfield, even when the rain stopped the outfield was too dangerous to play on so the match was abandoned, luckily it was just a friendly so roll on the league games this weekend.

First T20 last night, stunning summer evening as well for it. We won the toss and inserted the oppo who started well and were 18-0 off 2 when the opener smashed a drive towards one of our more senior players who dived to his right and pouched a stunning 1 handed catch, words can't quite do it justice. Anyway that was about as interesting as it got with them making there way to 79-8 off there 20 overs with the bloke playing out the last over as a maiden!!!

Anyway went in at 4 after giving a couple of jnr lads a go up top but unfortunately didn't really work and scored 25no off 19balls and we won easily. GN maverick Carbo is a gun!!

First T20 for us last night - a lovely summer evening but the ground left a lot to be desired... So uneven that you'd set off running to chase a ball down, then air step, then hit a "hill", then air step again - was horrific!

We lost; chasing 109 (110 to win) off 18 overs... in the dark, with an almost black ball... Top 3 collectively put on 80... the remaining "batsmen" couldn't group together to hit 30! Rather worrying...

For a lad that (self proclaimed) can't hit sixes... two yesterday evening, with one clearing the pavilion and one clearing the sight-screen... Kippax must be an incredible bat!

First game was Saturday with the temp never topping 8 degrees though we managed to get an uninterrupted game in.  As I don't bowl and field in the covers, I held the team record on the day for wearing 5 layers...

Curse of the club nets - anything slightly back of a length on rubber mats jumping up, conditioning back foot play.  Opening I'd scored 3 on a track that felt like walking on moss, when a half tracker bowled me on the second bounce.  Yes, I was playing back, yes I know I shouldn't be and yes I looked a right one!

Won the game though - we were all out for 89, got them all out for 79.  Bit closer than we'd hoped as we had them 54-8, but we'll take an opening day win!  First game at home this Saturday; word is the track's looking great...

Glorious evening for a T20. Since we only play friendlies we mucked around with the batting order somewhat, our first team number 11 for saturday was opening and most of the saturday batsman were lurking down the order. We hacked our way to 121-5 and the oppo were cruising thanks to  some pretty average bowling from our "strong" bowling attack at 97-2 off 16. Enter Saunders and 2-2-0-4 at the death, job done lol . First two balls I bowled were yorkers and the second did for one guy. The rest of the deliveries were average (but straight) and more down to weak batting, 2 bowled and one leading edge. Probably should had 5, but the keeper missed a stumping and I shoved the hat trick ball down leg.

Forum watch - @alexhilly1492 came and went in the first over of our batting effort, before I could take some pictures for 3 and bowled 2 overs of tidy off spin in an otherwise average effort from our bowlers, getting excited at the prospect of bouncing people on astroturf rather than bowling straight.

Oppo did a bbq after so a very nice evening in the end.
