Nice friendly today, bat first and we scored 267-8 (5 retirees on 40) and then the Oppos racked up 264 ao (( 4 x retirees). Game was very relaxed and both teams gave as many batsmen a go and bowlers all got 4-6 overs each just to get some overs down the range. Wasn't competitive so there were no stealing runs, mankads etc.

Lovely weather too

Oh and I retired with a SR of 98 so absolutely slogging levels of strike rate! Game every sat and sun now until end of sept

Spent four hours rolling the wickets today
Longest I've spent at the crease for a while!
Two weeks until first friendly, outfields wet through

We don't start our friendlies until 16th April.

Had my first outdoor net of the season today, following Buzz's advice I consciously made an effort not to trigger.
I felt more still at the crease and was able to pay the ball under my eyes a bit easier, hopefully it was a good omen for the coming season.

Maybe @Buzz needs to do some kitchen coaching on triggers, the types, their strengths and weaknesses and the merits of standing still etc

Nice to hear it's working for you mate i'll try mine tomorrow. First outdoor net hopefully tomorrow and and indoor net in the evening, albeit our outdoor net is pretty much made of concrete (anyone for �27k for our new nets, Cheers in advance).

You can build it for a fraction of the price if you do it yourself and don't pay a company to do it

To be honest i think we did our current one, would just need to dig it all up and dig a new section so we can have 2 bays, order higher net frame, new net, matting ect. I think also there was talk of it being caged off so we could keep the net on and it not get ruined (the depends on the tree huggers society though)

Tbh, sounds like a project manager is needed more than a truck load of cash jus to get the total cost, materials, machines and a few workers (who are useful not idiots )

Yeah, where would be the best place to get all this without the service?
