Get well soon mate! I got mine broken by Rio a few weeks back at Penn trying to gather a throw, I was lucky to just get a hairline fracture on the tip of my left index finger so I've been able to play through it.
We certainly have a young athletic team out, virtually the one we took to Penn so we should be able to give you a decent game.

Cheers mate. Ours is about as strong as it could be, minus me anyway, but batting looks a bit fragile. Looks a batsman light in my opinion. Bowling unit as strong as can be, think it might be same as the league cup game with Asif (the other opening bowler) coming back.

Played and won on Wed in our T20 league which puts us in the semi final next wed. We batted first and scored 152-3 pitch was very low and I think its quite a new club wasn't a cricket ground until 4 years or so ago so not going to be a great deck yet. I managed to get 50* and retired off 28 balls which is very good strike rate for me. In reply they managed 32 all out and were 8 for 7 with bowlers missing 3 hatrick opportunities unfortunately

Look forward to next week

Just learnt my game tomorrow is cancelled tomorrow, (No Swearing Please) sake. At least I have a sixes tournament on Sunday, but it's no substitute for proper cricket.

Shocking game today. Hour drive to away game vs bottom of the league who have 9 players and they win the toss and bat, there 10-4 and then we bowl pies to get them some runs and leave catches and they end up 120 all out. Opened and hit four 4's first balls I face then smash one to mix on who actually caught it with his eyes closed. Opening partner retired on 50 off 4 overs and we knocked it off in 11 overs.
Standard in this league is getting awful haven't lost and last few games have been a genuine waste of time. Hope the league looks at bumping us up 2 leagues at least next season

Arrived at the away ground thinking the skippers were going tio call it off but the home captain was extremely keen and fair enough as within 45 minutes the rain relented. Given the forecast for later in the day, a 25 per side match was agreed.

We got put into bat on an awful wicket and had reached about 50-7 when I came in with still over 10 overs to go. I was initially quite pleased because one of their opening bowlers had just bowled out but soon got a rude awakening. In fairness the previous batsman was a junior but given this was a match in the bottom division, I hadn't considered that this new bowler's previous 4 deliveries were not his usual pace but I barely moved before the first ball was in the keeper's glove. Next delivery was even sharper as it hit me full on my front foot and boy did I turn the air blue!!! I wasn't helped by the lack of a sight screen and to make matters even worse, there was now a red car parked directly behind the bowler's arm. In the next few overs I got a couple of juicy half volley's which I despatched with glee to the boundary but this bowler got his revenge (knocking back my leg stump) and we ended up all out for 69.

Opposition then knocked it off without losing a wicket and this was easily the most one sided matche I've played in this season. It's interesting that despote having just dropped down a division, Mr Toe Crusher is easily the quickest bowler I have faced this season (anywhere) and their opening bat who finished on 48no wasn't too bad either.

Absolutely delicious victory today. Lost toss and bowled first on a home pitch that in places was a green top and in others threatening to be a dust bowl. Taplow were 60odd/2 when me and my leg spin colleague came on, and we took 16.3/5/41/8 between us. My figures were 8.3/2/19/5, including probably the best leg break I will ever bowl, drifted to outside leg before turning back to clip top of off. Could easily have been more, thanks to a drop from our opening bowler, an interesting piece of umpiring to not give a plumb lbw and then a plain awful bit where a batsman failed to walk having clipped a half volley to mid wicket on the full and the ump claimed a bump ball. Square leg ump was telling him it wasn't but he wouldn't listen. Had them 109ao, then chased it down before tea. Openers started their chase at 1527, and finished it at 1627 inside 18 overs. First time we have beaten Taplow 1 since before my senior debut back in 2008!

Glad my finger was killing me and I decided not to watch! I heard 55-2 then next I heard was we'd lost by 10 wickets. No idea what happened in terms of events but I heard one of our guys had to leave during our innings due to his sister being rushed into hospital? I see Penn stuffed Littlewick so I think it's Penn, you and now us dropping down to 3rd?

Also well bowled, 5 for is always pleasing.

First league game back after 10 weeks of having a broken finger. Scored 55 in a total of 282 off 45 and we won comfortably. Three wins across the three Fordham senior teams, what a weekend!!

Correct. Yaya had to dash off but came back and batted 8 I think. Given the circumstances it would have been wrong to make him come in later for the time he was away on family duties. Went back to a straight one from Rio. Couldn't see the line as I was at cow, but he was back almost on his stumps.

Pathetic 39 today, really should have been 100+ but I got lazy and top edged a regulation pull. Poor batting from myself. Pretty much hammered the opposition who in this evidence while we knew they rely heavily on two batsmen and two bowlers to do damage look doomed to relegation on that showing. Opening partner got 74, slowly and with no acceleration but he's new to the role and did well. No sledging from either side which was nice again.

2xi played away at the club the 1xi played last week and came back saying they would rather just concede the game next season than play as they cheated again and it soured what was (apparently) a good game until then. Our 2xi hadn't batted well so was t even like they needed to cheat. Still, just shows the way that club operate two games and both were unpleasant.

3xi finally got a rare full game in and dominated but we knew they were a div or two too low, keeps them clear st the top and so hopefully playing more even games in the coming season

bad signs for me, currently got ice on my knee and Achilles :(
