Played at Woodmansterne today, nice ground.

Put in to field and they got 205 off 40. Fielded OK but should have taken an easy one just behind square leg.

Chased it successfully 1 down, opener and no 3 played well. Great win.

Now for a week off as I'm at Lords, but speaking to another player we'll have a net of some sort as I'm dying for some bat on ball time. Makes a difference having players like that in your team.

I wouldn't class Woodmansterne as a nice ground. Slightest bit of rain and it is horrid.

I carried the bat in a 40 over match - my second this season.

I opened and scored 122 not out.  :)

Got a late call up to a mates club for a friendly yesterday. First thing I did on arrival was get a direct hit run out, then nabbed myself three wickets and 14. Got stumped with scores level charging a medium pacer and trying to stick the ball into the pub across the road.

not a bad game sunday, batted 4 made 46 but batted like an absolute tool then fielded well with a direct hit run out, swapped to keeping at drinks and took a stumping and a catch stood up which was pleasing and the team won which capped it all off

Won again chasing an average 142 and won with a bit to spare. Got 29 a stumping and a nick, so could be worse

After having a torrid season so far, I was finally able to stick around at the crease for more than 5 overs. Before Saturday I had scored a couple of 20's in the 2nd XI but every time I played for the 1sts I would put to much pressure on myself and freeze up and get out for single digits. Finally this Saturday it just seemed to click. I batted for 24 overs scoring 55. Not exactly prolific strike rate but given the run of form I've had (Going into the game with 1XI league average of 4) I was just happy to be in the middle for so long. I'm actually really looking forward to Saturday now instead of the feeling of impending dread I've had the last few weeks.

Cheeky little 3-27 off 8 for the thirds on Sunday (with one over going for 11) before the rain came...

Played in our T20 Semi Final last night and it was a really good game. Oppo won the toss and elected to bat on a very hard white track and soon found themselves in a spot of bother at 20odd for 3 opening bowlers bowing great lengths and varied pace. There middle order then set about playing them selves in and took a liking to our slow bowlers moving the score along nicely. We picked up wickets along the way. Then a very sharp piece of leg side glove work removed number 6 (one of the best stumping Iv ever taken every thing seemed to click) and they ended up 122-7

In reply I was batting at 4 and found myself in facing last ball of the first over with us 1-2 nit an ideal start with two of our bigger hitters both back for 0. Played myself in and with usual league opening partner we put on 65 to get us to 66-2 after 7 overs. Then they bought on one of the better off spin bowlers Iv faced in a long time just bowled nothing lose at all think he went for 13 of his overs all singles. Anyway still haven't hit a 6 this season but was able to take more from others bowlers end and got myself to 43 with 30 needed off 3 overs then I hit one straight up and was caught and bowled. In came our opening bowler who has been on a bit of booming form recently using my lovely B&S bat and he smashed 17 off4 balls and we won with a few balls left.
Final next Wednesday but a great game of cricket
