A new bat as my match backup
« on: April 07, 2016, 11:16:31 AM »

Just thought I'd post my new RPC blade that I picked up a few weeks ago. It's had about 1000 bolas through it just to get it firing and get myself used to it. It's going to be my reserve bat this year as I gave away all my other bats to budding jnr's.

I'll post another later today as well, absolute monster

Weight is 2.9, not measured anything because i don't care about that. Goes like a train and was made in front of me exactly how I want it.. No guesswork and no surprises. Full profile too which is now what I want. Edges are small but again, I'd rather hove it in the blade as I don't plan on using edges

Lovely bat mate. Which team might you be putting that to use with this year? 1s or 2s?

1's unless they annoy me again.. Then I'll to mong in the 2's and just see how many 100's I can score :)

Well, they are small compared to some other brands on the market who make a point of edges etc. Each to their own though, that's the fun of bats after all

@ProCricketer1982 did you happen to see/swing a wipeout (if you were there)? any thoughts on that one? how big is the spine on that shape?

If you've been to the cave you'll know they aren't in model order so I have no idea for sure. However, I did go through the lot with two mates and one wanted a higher middle so suspect I picked up a few.

Depends on weight, from memory there was two really light ones which weren't massive but weren't small either. A LE that was pretty big and a RPC one that was one mates top pick from the ready mares. Rob made him one there and then though so he didn't take it. They are the only ones I re,ember that are that model style.

Good to photos of bats that have actually been used on the forum :), hope to see more such reviews as the UK season is beginning.
