This thread was purely about KP and his lack of Adidas stickers or branded gloves...
Who cares about him being able to provide for his family we care about the cricket and his gear, not the other irrelevant stuff and quite frankly petulant bickering that we've seen of late...
I've be on here since 2010 and in the last year the forum has changed and not for the better...

Totally agree, there are some total muppets on here at the moment and this kind of BS that's taken up 2 pages of a thread is further evidence.

It used to be about love of and support fo cricket brands like Hawk. Not which multi-national can pay Kevin Pieterson the most money to falsely advertise 'their' product.

Big sponsors in the running would be Spartan,SS,NB, possibly slazenger and outside chance of woodworm. MRF have signed AB would they possibly consider snapping up KP as well? Maybe do a poll and we will see which forum members know there stuff and who should go back to reading the Mrs magazines.

It shouldn't be. But how could you enforce a law aimed at stopping it?

Fact is he's putting himself in the shop window, having met him in the week before he resigned with adidas 2/3 years ago what he got was significant in terms of sponsorship plus additional off field kick backs.

As @Bats_Entertainment says it would have been novel of him to promote the actual brand he got his bats from but then if you consider that repercussions of this of the potential audience all wanting to buy said bats it could cause a massive back log or supply and demand issues for he brand in question....not that I'm saying having a healthy backlog of 1000 orders is a bad thing but the upscale in production could cause stress in terms of willow sourcing, manufacturing etc as a knock on effect from a small "cottage industry" type of set up.

The on field side of the kit in prob a minor consideration for him now id imagine compared to the upside of off field benefits of signing with a big sports brand name.

Newsflash professional sportsmen use equipment of which they feel they can best perform the job they are paid to do.

Do you think the ECB care if stokes wears adidas boosts with new balance branding when he is being paid to do a job for his country?

Do you really think you can go out and buy the exact same product?

Mcilroys clubs, Messi's boots, Roots bats the list could go on they are customised to suit them in order to perform. Brands exploit the exposure said individuals have to further market the brand. Hardly illegal this forum gets ridiculous by the day
