I knock in dozens of CA's every year. I've never seen a full sized one in terms of overall size, most are a similar size to a Harrow and the majority of them are not 108mm wide in terms of blade width either

This could be true in your experience and I don't have any counter argument; however, my experience with CA vs GM is different (as posted above). Can upload comparison pics if you'd like?

thebfully knocked in stickers they carry, as well as the weight stickers are comedy gold as well

Whole heartedly agree.
Some defenders of the CA bats claim that the weight mentioned on the bats is the naked bat weight in lbs ... so 2.8 means 2.8 lbs, which means, it's about  2 lbs 12 oz, and then you put a grip and stickers on it. Either way, it's a deceptive marketing ploy that everyone hates.

The stickered message "Ready to play" is 100% wrong. I have seen £350 bats splitting in two after facing a couple of balls. And CA factory won't recognize you if you call for help or service.

And the handle quality is always poor.

If you visit the factory they tend to give you 35-45% off on the MRP based on your bargaining skills.

Pranav
I messaged lahore, 5x 15000 limited edt. would come in at £130 each ex shipping. Bulk buy is the way to go. Order fedex express and hope for no customs.

Have a 15000 le players a++ (and whatever they chuck on at the end) and its shorter blade. Nice full profile and a massive 10cm wide.. Dont really care too much, as i tend to play harrow/LH bats, but false marketing.
My captain bought 10 5000 from the factory, £40 each incl. shipping, all came in at 2.8-2.10, none weighed under 2.11.

Still, i cannot fault the ping one bit. 3 seasons on, and its still going strong. (Rehandled though)

Looks like CA are getting popular... :D

CA makes shorter blade bats because their target players are mostly Asians who are generally not as tall as others but you can get easily longer blades as well, one of my friend who is 6 feet tall has a longer blade CA 10000. Breakage is only due to under preparation (I hate the ready to play stickers and overall look and feel of their massive stickers) but when it comes to performance, I've always found them winner.

Agreed that there is no consistency in bat sizes, shapes (fuller or concave) but if you can get a good one according to your specs ... it will perform, i can assure you.

I went to CA center in chouburgi and checked all those expensive bats and also one players edition 7 star, the grains looked pretty good and it was very light...but I dont know those bats just looked dry ...something was just not right and they were all super expensive...7 star was for Rs.45000...wow

So I decided not to buy anything from CA ;)

Great and very wise decision.
No need to spend THAT MUCH on a CA bat.

While you are in Sialkot, try to stop by at Malik and AS sports factories, just to take a look if they have got anything interesting?

I am sure it won't be Rs 45K, no matter how good is it.

CA bats are definitely expensive. However they are more expensive than AS and MB because they are better. Yes you can get lucky with AS and MB with some nice sticks (not to say they are not nice- they are very good bats) but generally I have found that CA always 'performs' better. Also there is absolutely no comparison between CA players edition 15000 and AS players edition- AS doesn't come close. The pickup on the players edition is phenomenal and the ping- well I have never seen a CA bat not ping like a gun.
The downside is they do crack easily because they are dry- but I have heard their 7 star bats are not as dry anymore.

So are there any shops that sell authentic bats in Lahore? Any shops in liberty or defence? I know about Zaidi sports but I know their shop is always empty with only a few bats...so thats useless.

I think you're back now but some information for you.

Millat Sports in Lahore is very good, they have authentic stuff.

There are no shops which I would trust in DHA, Appollo Sports in H-Block is overpriced so is their Ferozpur Road one.

There is Butt Sports in Liberty under Shezan Bakery along another sports shop but they don't have good stuff.

The CA Sports centre in Choburghi is heavily overpriced.

On my last visit I went to Chaudhry Sports in Panorama Market on Mall Road, they had good stuff and first class cricketers also shop there but then I went with a referral from a PCB employee.

Zaidi Sports has really died, they don't have much stock anymore.

As far CA bat's are concerned in terms of durability and longevity. I have had nearly ten top end CA bats and only one broke at the end due to use which was solely due to terrible balls.

@roco Had a CA bat which was replica of Chris Gayle and what he used in Big Bash few years ago when he was with Sydney Sixers. I got it via Zahid Javed as I knew him.

I have gotten two bats from Nasir Jamshed and they were exceptionally good. Sadly, I did not retain any whilst I should have. Review; http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=31037.0

Recently I had gotten another CA which was used by Haris Sohail in 2015 World Cup, another stunner.

As far AS goes, I had gotten one AS which was made for Aamir Yameen, fantastic bat. Blew me away as I was extremely surprised by it. Again, got it via Waqas Khalid as I know him. Review; http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=36660.0

Last month I ordered top end AS, whilst it costed halve of what CA would charge for their top end, but it picks up extremely well and has a great rebound. A friend is using it in higher division of league where Canadian national team players play.

I had also gotten MB LE directly from MB Malik via MB Malik's owner as I knew him (we haven't spoken in years now) and those bats were replica for Shahid Afridi in 2010/2011. Incredible bats. Review; Can't find it on CBF.

So, despite trying and owning all. I didn't have any bad experience, I don't know if it was because I had contacts with the owners etc. If they were dry, I don't care as they served me/us well so I couldn't care less if they were overdried or not.

CA top end bats (15000 plus, TRD & SM18) are one of best looking & performing bats i have owned and saw others using. Personal experiences can vary but overall i found CA bats to be good performers. If one knows who to properly knock/prepare a CA bat and use it then CA will serve him well.

I have two SM-18s in my quiver and they are gun bats. One of them is over 3 years old and still going great guns! My buddies have bought these bats and rave about them. Some haven't bothered to knock their bats and love the ping and performance.  :D  My bats were hand picked and it helps. I no longer buy my own bats since I am gullible to marketing hype  :D

But Rs.45000 for a 7 star means £300...and we could buy a hell4leather and other high quality bats here for that price then why bother buying a CA? lol. Price for a players edition was Rs.26000 last year and this year its 38000...wtf???
