Fantasy Cricket 2016
« on: April 10, 2016, 06:11:50 PM »

Is everyone set up with Fantasy Cricket this season?

Our first season doing it and so far I've been picked in 1 out of 17 teams... #Proud.

Well worth the £25 for everyone to have a laugh at each other.

Our club is doing it

Despite being a colt and the cheapest player on it, I still only got picked in 3 of 21 teams 😖

We do one, if we charged £25 a pop though there would be approximately zero teams entered!
Must be some flash harries at your club  ;)

Ah, misunderstanding! I meant £25 registration fee for the club! £10 a pop on ours, half to the club and half in the prize pot (less fee). Only been active an hour and 20 teams signed, should be a laugh. Agreed @Batbuddy99 at £1M I'm an absolute steal but so far only one member has faith... I'll show em come Saturday!!

Couple of blokes at my old club ran it all by themselves, this seems a really easy way do it. I agree it is a good laugh and makes for some good fun during games especially late in the season when it's getting serious in the fantasy league.

Haha that seems far more reasonable! Great sign up rate, we only had 20 all in for last year

Sounds like you guys have much more realistic prices than ours! We've changed to that website this year, looks an improvement on our previous one but gonna be seriously difficult to pick a good team - average price is about 6.5m! Sad to report that after I did quite well last year at a low price I'm now far too expensive! 🙈

Signed up Chalfont St Giles CC this afternoon after some interest when I suggested it. Hopefully people will actually take part, all our previous attempts have been pretty poor tbh but probably because it was all being worked out by a player rather than through a site.

Our club has had one going now for 3 seasons and I started it manually, that first year was the smoothest and best because there were no fancy transfers etc which the majority don't do meaning very quickly it loses most people's interest.

Fine for football where people actively compete against random others but for inter club stuff, you want it simple and everyone involved for 75% of the season to make it interesting

Brilliant tool and also helps if you have multi team club up so the first team players pay attention to the performance of the players in the other teams. It's good fun when the best batter in the first team is keen to find out how the potential young gun he picked in his 3rd team. take a bit of manual work but it's massively worth it!!!

last season i would often select players on where they were playing - our track is a bit of a road!!

Already getting sledged over peoples values. Gave myself a very reasonable 6m valuation but our 1s opening bowler has complained about being worth a mil less than an all rounder!
