Oxbridge balls

Anyone used these as looking like our league found a cheaper solution than the readers and dukes we have been using

All brands produce cheap balls, they all produce good balls too.

Oxbridge/Tiflex balls are used in the league i play in on a Saturday and they are brilliant. We sell a slightly cheaper model, the magna and have received a lot of very good feedback

The Blenheim isn't available to purchase unless you are a school or league I believe. It's a bit more expensive than a Magna from memory

Yes. Various models used over the years but this year it's the Windsor I think

@roco I can't say for sure without checking but I think we would sell the Blenheim for around £18 if we had access to it, so it's not bargain basement, there are definitely better balls in the range though

All depends on the model. The Readers ball in my Sunday league is very poor in my opinion

I've been netting with the tiflex ball jake sold me, highly impressed, holds up very well, swings and does not break bats!! Cracking ball.

Nathan from oxbridge sent me a sample of the magna (cheap) and the windsor (middle) - the top range will compete with the kooka turf (his words, not mine) but is yet to hit the market.

Magna: Ok shape retention, but gets soft after 20 some overs, swings alright, slightly hard on the bat, but not bat breakers. (Ok for 20/20, or 4 balls a match 40/50 overs at lower levels)
Windsor: Superb shape retention, swings through 50 overs, lovely sound and feel off the bat. Cannot recommend highly enough. (had to go though 6 hours of sessions before it started to go soft)

Looking forward to the top of the line - hopefully arriving in a couple of weeks.

We currently use the readers sovereign cricket bat and to be honest it is not very good. The seem is very flat the balls don't swing they seem around a little for the first 10-15 overs then the seem goes soft and they do nothing. We previously used the oxbridge balls they used to swing for the first 15 overs and were not has hard as the readers balls they did occasional lose there shape and we did complain about them, but they were a lot better than the readers balls we are currently stuck with. Moral of the story be happy with what you have, because when it is gone you will miss it.
