Australia vs Pakistan 2nd Test

I went to the first day today and the forcast was meant to be 24 sunshine........it was drizzling and overcast.

Play was delayed till 2pm. We had a couple of peeks at the pitch it was a grassy carpet.

Grassy carpet, gentle wind, overcast...... "I think I'll bat" Ricky says........A huge grin can be seen on Yosuf's face.

**facepalm** Aussies all out 127.

Awesome bowling by the Pakistanis, absolutley brilliant it has to be up there with one of the best 1st day test matchs I've been to.

they have just bowled one of the top sides in the world out for below 150...why shouldent he be praising them ?

Just giving credit where it is due.
Trust me mate im as patriotic as they breed us.
But Aussies are tough as hell and to see the quality of cricket being played it's good to see them on the ropes.

You're off your rocker ashvir! Asif did awesome. Best spell of 2010 so far.

Ponting is unbelievably dumb - choosing bat on a in such conditions. Hughes failed again so no surprises there. I think Clarke should get the captaincy. Pontings time is done.

All pakistan fans will be happy but I'll bet my house that pakistan will post an equally small total if the conditions are anything like this, tomorrow. Only Yusuf and Akmal brothers can play well at a moving ball, so not much hope there

umz, sorry to disagree with you but Kamran Akmal is a flat track bully. he rarely scores runs outside the sub-continent. I'll agree that Yousuf will be key(even though i'm not his biggest fan) and Umar Akmal add some impetous. i don't rate Salman, Imran or Iqbal. Misbah is also on borrowed time. What did Fawad do wrong???

nothing wrong with giving credit where credit is due.. Paks bowled awesome.. I thought Sami set it up his first spell was simply one of the best ever.. at 1 point he had bowled 5 overs 3 madiens 4 runs and 3 wickets thats just nuts!!

Just seen Haddin's dismissal,I'm all for players playing their natural game but was just an awful stroke. The ball is doing abit and you get caught at mid-off with your team in trouble you want slapping. Its not the first time he has got out 'playing his natural game' either,get your head down man and play for the team.

I agree James, Aamer looks like a great young bowler and Umar Akmal is doing well with the bat. These two suggest that Pakistan could be a big team in cricket in a few years time.

Two players don't make a great side.

Some of Pakistan's better players are near the end of their careers and most of the youngsters aren't as good as U. Akmal. Hence the ever changing line up Pakistan often field.
