Pre season fitness!

could people please list what they do for pre season fitness? i am looking to get a hell of a lot fitter this season and hopefully then i might get my england shout as last year i was too unfit and obviously wasnt good enough yet! i am having lots of one to one coaching wiht my regional coach and want to put my batting skills and fitness skills together to really make this season a HUGE one! looking for alot of help and tips of how to do fitness around the house? (i know it sounds stupid) cheers everyone!

Run up and down the stairs....it is a stupid one but increases leg muscles and CV fitness

5 mile runs 3 times a week. Plsu a speed session and some weights or circuit training, and your sorted!

i have bought some weights and dumbells and stuff but its just geting to do 5 miles! i dont even think i am that fit to run 5 miles!

Start small, and build up gradually. That avoids the lactic acid aches!
Maybe just start wiith 1 run a week - 1 or 2 miles at comfortable pace.
And 1 weights or curcuit session a week. Then slowly build it up as time permits?

Not too much too soon though!!!
If you do it gradually, you'll be fine!
Don't rush it either! It takes 2 weeks for the training you're doing now to show in your fitness! So its a longer term thing!
If you start now, then by the time April comes, you should be one hell of a lot fitter! And every aspect of your game should improve!

I agree with pete, although I would add if your serious about getting fitter. Eat healthy too and stay off the beer. You will see the rewards....
