Hi All,
About 3-4 years ago, I saw a video on youtube about a coach giving a lesson to his student on hitting a backfoot punch. The student was an older man (not a young player or a school kid) and the coach was teaching him the technique of hitting a full (swing thru the ball) backfoot punch, not a "checked" drive. The nuance of his technique was moving the gloves thru the line of the ball or something which I can't remember. It was by far the best technique for hitting a powerful backfoot punch. I hate checked drive as they are not powerful enough for slow bowlers.
So, why am I posting about the video? Because, for the life of me, I can't find it anymore. It was the best technique and if I could get a hold of that coach I would work with him on my game. In the video, he sounded Australian. And, he was giving the batter throw downs to practice the backfoot punch. If you remember the video or have the link to it, please post it. I will be grateful. Thanks.
