Millichamp & Hall NC654
« on: May 08, 2016, 04:56:17 PM »

Hi guys,

Is anyone using one of those 50mm monsters? I am thinking about buying one. I heard they are made in India and not in england as they claim?

M&H bats perform really well  regardless of where they are made.

I have never seen a more ridiculously concaved bat than the one I saw at Lord's.

Even with concaving the edges are still 50mm so still a lot of wood? At least the opposition would be scared of it...lol

Yes, lots of wood in the edge. It will have all been scooped out if the middle though.
Actually, that sounds ideal for me as that's where I tend to hit the ball...

Are the full width/length in order to make the blade so large?

Lad used one the other Sunday.

Very very concaved. Edge may be 50 mm, but the lowliest point of concaving must be in the 30mms . Seems abit daft.

Blade also looked strange in terms of size like it was a short blade long handle or similar.

But..... Despite the guy using it being useless, the one he did get hold of went miles!!

Very popular with our team and they all perform well. many suffer from early cracking, they are all large for their weight, they are all over-priced.

Similar principle to the Kippax colussus then? But a couple hundred quid more expensive of course

@icewolf go for an older model if you think that concaving is a problem - try a pre-2014 Amplus. Amazing bats!

I've got a CK22 & an early M&H 11/Amplus, they both have superb middles, we played on the edge of the track yesterday on one of the biggest grounds in the league. I hit 2 one bounce 4's to the furthest part of the ground with the amplus which would've been into the clubhouse on every other ground. Not saying it's just the bat but it absolutely flies and it isn't a huge bat. Neither is a hellfire that I've got. I'd say that M&H's that I've had are awesome bats but the ones that aren't huge play as well as the ones that are so don't waste money on a massive bat when a decent one will do
